Southwest Middlesex is proud to offer recreational programming for residents of all ages. We strive to give high quality classes that meets everyone's needs. Online Registration

Programs are regularly changing with instructor and facility availability - please refer to the course calendar feature for upcoming program changes or contact 519-287-2015 for more information.

Note that is you are attending a drop-in program you may pay cash at the program.

In-Person Registration

In person program registration is available at the Municipal Office during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm). However, we encourage that registrations are made online.

Current Programs:

Basketball

Our Youth Basketball program is for people aged 9-12 who are looking to improve their skills. At this registered 11 week program, participants are able to practice drills, play in skill based games and participate in scrimmages.

Time: Tuesdays from 6:00pm - 7:15pm 

Dates: October 6, 2024 - December 10, 2024

Location: Glencoe District High School gymnasium, 3581 Concession Drive, Glencoe.

Cost: $50.00/ session

Registration: Registration can be done online or in person

Children's Art, Crafts & Games - Do Good Rural Rec.

Join Southwest Middlesex and Do Good Things Co. for a creative family-friendly evening of art, crafts and games. Activities include:

Saturday Morning Socials: A Saturday morning drop in program with themed crafts and activities. All ages and abilities welcome. It's the perfect way to kick off your weekend.

Kids Multi-Sport

Hey parents! Looking for fun sports activities for your kids (ages 5-8) this fall? The Kids Multi-Sport program is drop-in based and introduces participants to new sports and skills each week.

Location: Glencoe District High School gymnasium, 3581 Concession Drive, Glencoe.

Time: Tuesdays from 5:15pm-6:00pm

Older Adults Exercise Program

Pickleball

Come on out and try North America's fastest growing sport Pickleball. Pickleball is a great way to get active and have fun. It is a mix of tennis and ping-pong where players strive to reach 11 points before their opponents. This is a drop in program, you may either pay in cash at the door or in advance online here.

Location: Glencoe District High School Gymnasium, 3581 Concession Street, Glencoe 

Time: Mondays from 5:30pm-7:00pm: Adults (18+)

Dates: September 16, 2024 - December 17, 2024

Cost: $4.00 per person

Season Pass: $55.00/4 Month Pass (Sept - Dec)

Exceptions: No pickleball October 14 

Volleyball
Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League

Join Southwest Middlesex and Forest City Sport and Social Club for 6 weeks of recreational, for-fun court volleyball. This is a co-ed league for ages 19 and up. Sign up as a team, as an individual, or with friends!

Location: Glencoe District High School gymnasium, 3581 Concession Street, Glencoe

Time: Wednesdays from 6:30pm-9:30pm starting October 23 and ending December 18.

Yoga

Enjoy the relaxing and rejuvenating benefits of yoga every week from our qualified instructor. This is a drop-in program meaning you can pay cash at the session you attend or you can register online here.

Chair Yoga

Location: Arena Auditorium, 138 Mill Street, Glencoe

Time: Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:20pm

Cost: $6 per class

All Levels Yoga

Location: Arena Auditorium, 138 Mill Street, Glencoe

Time: Thursdays from 6:30pm-7:20pm

Cost: $6.00 per class

Monthly Pass: $20.00

 

Financial Aid:

"Can I Play Too"

Financial assistance is available to ensure all of our community gets a chance to be active.  The following are available subsidy programs within Southwest Middlesex.  Apply today for available funds!   

A funding program is available - Can I Play, Too?  Please complete the application and submit it to the municipal office!

Information collected is used solely for the purpose of determining eligibility for the subsidy and will be kept confidential as per the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.  The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex reserves the right to fund any amount of the subsidy request or to deny said request.
