Southwest Middlesex Lowers Flags to Half-Mast in Honour of Canadian Armed Forces Members
The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex is deeply saddened by the tragic events at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the four Canadian Armed Forces members who lost their lives, those who were injured, and everyone affected by this tragedy.
In honour of the fallen service members, the Municipality lowered its flags to half-mast on October 19, 2026, where they will remain until October 22, 2026.
Our thoughts are with the Canadian Armed Forces community during this difficult time.
