Notice of Public Meeting

Proposed Adoption of Community Improvement Plans
A Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is an economic development tool authorized under the Planning Act that enables municipalities to encourage revitalization, housing, business investment, and economic growth through financial incentive programs and strategic initiatives.
The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex is proposing to adopt two new Community Improvement Plans:
- Southwest Middlesex Community Improvement Plan (2026) – This Plan will repeal and replace the Municipality's existing 2021 Community Improvement Plan. It updates and modernizes the Municipality's financial incentive programs, simplifies geographic eligibility, and continues to support revitalization, housing, and business investment throughout Southwest Middlesex.
- Southwest Middlesex Industrial & Employment Lands Community Improvement Plan – This new Plan introduces financial incentive programs designed to encourage industrial and employment development, attract investment, and support job creation.
Together, these Plans provide an updated framework to encourage investment, revitalization, and sustainable economic growth across Southwest Middlesex.
