Effective Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Southwest Middlesex, together with all Middlesex County municipalities, have implemented a County-Wide Open Burn Ban due to current and forecasted extreme temperatures and dry conditions.
All open-air burning is prohibited, with the exception of small recreational campfires that comply with our Open-Air Burning By-law https://www.southwestmiddlesex.ca/laws/open-air-burn-law
This burn ban has been implemented to reduce the risk of fire and help ensure the safety of our communities during this period of elevated fire danger.
