Notice of Proposed Official Plan Amendment – Additional Residential Units (ARUs)
The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex is proposing a housekeeping amendment to the Official Plan to update policy direction related to Additional Residential Units (ARUs).
The purpose of the amendment is to bring the Southwest Middlesex Official Plan into conformity with the County of Middlesex Official Plan by establishing implementation guidelines to support the integration of ARUs within settlement areas and agricultural areas throughout the municipality.
The proposed amendment would apply municipally-wide unless otherwise specified.
A Public Meeting regarding the proposed amendment will be held on June 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
