The Southwest Middlesex Council has eight
members. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected at large and the remaining councillors are elected
from each of their respective wards.

Message from the Mayor

Mayor Doug Reycraft
On behalf of our
Council, our municipal staff and the citizens of Southwest Middlesex, I am
pleased to welcome you to our web site.
If you are a virtual visitor to our municipality, we hope
that you will find, within these pages, information
that will motivate you, and help you, to travel to Southwest Middlesex. You
will find us a progressive community that offers the full range of municipal
services.
We are centrally located in Southern Ontario, less than an hour away from
Chatham, Sarnia, Grand Bend, London and St. Thomas.
We are blessed with many service groups, organizations and individuals
whose generosity continues to contribute to the growth, spirit and
beautification of our neighbourhoods.

Southwest Middlesex was formed in 2001 by the
joining of four area municipalities. This community has a strong sense
of family and we provide a multitude of services to meet the needs of both
the young and the old. While continuing to offer our residents the
warmth and hospitality that only a small close-knit community can provide,
we are committing ourselves to focusing on the future of Southwest Middlesex
in terms of growth and development.
