Southwest Middlesex offers a wide variety of recreation facilities.

Our local arena offers activities such as hockey, figure skating and roller skating. Other recreational facilities include a curling rink (operated by the Glencoe & District Curling Club (http://www.glencoedistrictcurling.piczo.com), outdoor swimming pool, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and tennis courts (operated by Glencoe District High School).

Our recreational facilities offer many day programs (such as "Well Baby" through the Middlesex-London Health Unit, Foot care clinics through V.O.N., Seniors' activities through the New Horizons Club and, when available, children's summer day-camps). Area children's organized groups include Guides and Scouts.

Big Bend Conservation Area offers overnight camping, picnic areas, a boat ramp into the Thames River and other activities. Right on our border with Lambton County (Alvinston-Brooke) is A.W.Campbell Conservation Area which offers a public swimming pool, walking trails, overnight camping and playground facilities.

The Wardsville Golf Course (public) and Gentleman Creek Golf Course (public) are all located within Southwest Middlesex boundaries. Details on these two golf courses, plus other golf courses within Ontario can be found at www.ontgolf.ca.

We are home to the following service clubs - the Royal Canadian Legion, Lions, Lioness, Rotary, Elks, Oddfellows, Masons, Eastern Star, 4-H, etcetera. These clubs are evidence of the high priority placed on community involvement.
